Xbox 360 Marketplace demo dates can now also be confirmed as 2nd February for Gold Members, and 9th February for Silver Members.
Gamen is een dure hobby en met de hoge ontwikkelingskosten deze generatie, dreigt het alsmaar duurder te worden. Om de prijzen redelijk te houden voor de consument houdt Ubisoft de ontwikkelingskosten goed in de gaten en hebben collega uitgevers gevraagd hetzelfde te doen.
Let op de kosten
Doordat de ontwikkeling van een spel tegenwoordig zo duur is, is het moeilijk voor bedrijven hun games winstgevend te maken. Rob Cooper, baas van Ubisoft UK, vertelde in een interview met MCV, dat hij het geen goed idee vindt om de prijzen van games te verhogen om de hoge kosten op te vangen.

Gulden middenweg
Volgens Cooper is het nutteloos om meer geld te besteden aan de ontwikkeling als games daardoor schrikbarend duur worden. Slimme uitgevers, zoals Ubisoft, zoeken naar oplossingen waar zowel consumenten als uitgevers profijt van hebben.

Criterion zal in een interne meeting van Electronic Arts voor het eerst de lang verwachte Need for Speed laten zien. Dit lieten ze weten via Twitter.
Out of the Law?
Een paar weken terug lekte er een subtitel uit die de naam Out of the Law droeg. Daarnaast verschenen er ook twee concept arts die Criterion meteen bestempelde als fake.
Al is deze onthulling bij EA geweldig nieuws voor de fans. Het blijft een interne onthulling, dus we hoeven geen beelden en dergelijke van de nieuwe Need for Speed te verwachten vandaag.

Athomas Goldberg, die tot kort animatie director was, liet het volgende zien op zijn LinkedIn profiel:

Gunhead is de naam?
Volgens verschillende geruchten zou de desbetreffende game”Gunhead” gaan heten. Verder liet Athomas Goldberg ook weten dat hij gewerkt heeft aan het design en de verwerking van alle characters van de game, evenals de wagens en het gedrag voor de komende Need for Speed. De enige bevestigde game waar we zeker van weten dat BlackBox ermee bezig is heet Skate 3. Deze game staat gepland voor mei en zal dan uitkomen voor Xbox 360 en Playstation 3.
